On May 10 at 1 p.m., BTS’s RM will unveil the pre-release track “Come back to me” from his forthcoming second solo album. The song, “Come back to me,” encapsulates contemplations on the theme of ‘right and wrong,’ a central motif of RM’s sophomore solo album, titled “Right Place, Wrong Person.”
The teaser image, resembling a movie poster, prominently displays the names of staff members involved in both the song and its accompanying music video. Notably, key figures from the Korean film industry have contributed to the music video’s production. Lee Sung-jin, director of the Netflix drama ‘Beef,’ helmed the direction, production, and screenplay. Accompanying the project are film art director Ryu Seong-hie, recognized for works such as ‘Decision to Leave’ and ‘Assassination,’ and cinematographer Kim Woo-hyunge, known for contributions to films like ‘1987: When the Day Comes’ and ‘Late Autumn.’ Actress Kim Min-ha co-stars alongside RM.
Several Korean musicians participated in the song’s production. Oh Hyuk, lead vocalist of the band Hyukoh, spearheaded production efforts. Singer-songwriter JNKYRD and San Yawn from Balming Tiger were also integral to the process. Additionally, Kuo from the Taiwanese band Sunset Rollercoaster contributed to guitar and bass sessions.
Big Hit Music stated, “RM showcased collaborations transcending music and art boundaries in his first solo album,” further noting, “In his latest album, he once again showcases boundary-defying artistic collaborations.”
Following the debut of “Come back to me,” RM’s second album, “Right Place, Wrong Person,” featuring a total of 11 tracks, is slated for release on May 24.
