Seoul based AI startup Glorang has secured a strategic investment (SI) from Japan’s Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS). The specific amount remains undisclosed but is reported to be an extension round of Series A funding.
TBS has been bolstering its global market presence, not only within Japanese media but also through partnerships with international firms in the education and AI sectors.
Glorang operates Gguge, South Korea’s leading online real-time education platform. Additionally, the platform utilizes AI to gauge the effectiveness of education.
According to TBS, the investment decision was made based on a favorable assessment of Glorang’s potential for growth in educational methods and expertise in psychological testing. TBS also pledged various collaborations to support Glorang’s expansion into Japan as part of this investment.
In a press release dated April 18, Glorang CEO Hwang Tae-yil expressed aspirations to develop new tests that assess the intelligence and talents of students worldwide and to design an educational framework that maximizes the skills necessary for AI era through education.
