LOTTE Global Logistics appointed Kang Byong-ku as new CEO and held the inauguration ceremony at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, on Feb. 2.
“I am committed to transforming LOTTE Global Logistics into a leading player in the global logistics industry, innovating endlessly. Through a series of challenges and innovation, I aim for open communication with our employees, thereby shaping LOTTE Global Logistics into a leading global logistics market with strong execution ability,” Kang delivered his inauguration address.
The new CEO presented four innovative strategies for his vision: differentiating customer service through innovation and solutions, pursuing substantial growth in global business through territorial expansion of logistics, fostering new growth engines by developing new businesses such as logistics for high value-added cross-border e-commerce, and establishing a system for smooth cooperation and information sharing among internal organizations and close partnerships with external partners and affiliates.
Kang promised to “enhance the logistics network to enable a much more agile response to changing business environments.” The chief executive officer also called for incentives to empower the employees to perform to their fullest and highlighted a transparent management environment for external growth and internal strengthening.
