Summary
Chey Min-jung, a Product Leader at SK Hynix, is the second daughter of SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won and Roh Soh-yeong, director of Art Center Nabi. Born in 1991, Chey Min-jung is the most publicly known among Chey Tae-won’s three children due to her voluntary enlistment in the Navy and her startup ventures. Having attended middle and high school in China and graduated from Peking University, Chey volunteered as a Navy cadet for the first time as a chaebol family member in September 2014. During her time in the Navy, she served in the Cheonghae Unit and the Second Fleet of the West Sea, and after her discharge, she joined SK Hynix in 2019. While working on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and investments at SK Hynix’s U.S. corporation, she took a leave of absence in 2022 and has been living in San Francisco. In the U.S., she has been serving as an unpaid advisor for the American healthcare startup Done and engaging in non-profit organization (NGO) volunteer activities. She is known to participate directly in events such as the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Forum and startup events, delivering speeches to investors and having meetings.
