Summary
Koo Bon-hyuk, the President and CEO of Yesco Holdings, was born in 1977. He is the eldest son of the late Koo Cha-myeong, former Chairman of Yesco and LS MnM (previously LS-Nikko Copper), and the third son of the late Honorary Chairman Koo Tae-hwoi. Koo Bon-hyuk graduated from Kyungbock High School and majored in MBA at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Graduate School.
Koo Bon-hyuk entered the LS Group at 27, starting his career in the overseas sales division of LS Cable & System. In 2009, he transferred to the business strategy team of LS Corp. In 2012, he moved to LS MnM, where his father, Koo Cha-myeong, was the chairman as a director. The following year, in 2013, he was promoted to executive director of the growth business division.
Following his father’s death in 2014, Koo Bon-hyuk continued to work at LS MnM until 2019. He was promoted to executive director of management support in 2015. He rose to vice president and business division head in 2018. Koo Bon-hyuk then moved to Yesco Holdings, another company led by his father, in 2020, where he worked as the head of future business and became the sole representative director in 2021.
