Summary

LS Group belongs to the wider LG family, established by the late founder of LG Group, Koo In-hwoi, who collaborated with his brother-in-law (Huh Man-jung, founder of GS Group) and his five brothers. The group was officially launched in November 2003 by the fourth brother, Koo Tae-hwoi, honorary chairman of LS Cable & System, and his younger brothers, Koo Pyong-hwoi, honorary chairman of E1, and Koo Doo-hwoi, honorary chairman of YESCO.

Centered around its holding company, LS Corp., LS Group consists of 47 subsidiaries including LS Cable & System (cables, power, and communications), LS Electric (power, automation, and IT), LS Mtron (machinery and parts), LS MnM (metals and precious metals), LS I&D (real estate and overseas investment), and LS Global (global operations). Among these subsidiaries, seven are publicly listed: LS Corp., E1, LS Electric, YESCO Holdings, Gaon Cable, LS Networks, and LS Cable & System Asia.
