Samsung took the top spot in the U.S. home appliance market last year.
According to market researcher TraQline on April 10, Samsung Electronics held a 21% share of sales in the world’s largest market, securing first place. LG was second with a 19% share, followed by local giants General Electric (18%) and Whirlpool (15%). In terms of units sold, Samsung led with 19%, outpacing GE (17%), LG Electronics (16%), and Whirlpool (16%).
The South Korean electronics giant also led in brand preference. When TraQline surveyed consumers about the brand they consider when purchasing home appliances, Samsung was the highest at 32%. LG came next at 29%, while GE and Whirlpool each stood at 28%.
Samsung has analyzed that “artificial intelligence appliances are driving the popularity of home appliances in the U.S. market.” The company has been actively integrating AI features into its appliances since last year, launching products with enhanced connectivity and usability. This year, Samsung’s new Bespoke lineup includes AI technology across 15 distinct models.
