Doosan Robotics revealed its latest P-SERIES (PRIME-SERIES) at Automate 2024 in Chicago, running from May 6-9. The highlight of the announcement was the introduction of the new P3020 on the show floor. With a payload capacity of 30kg (60lbs) and a reach of 2,030mm (80in), the P3020 stands as the longest-reaching collaborative robot available, capable of palletizing from floor to 2m high (stacking up to 10 layers of boxes approximately 8 inches tall) using its simple fixed base without a lift. Doosan Robotics maintains its focus on optimal safety with the new P3020, achieving the highest PL (e) and Cat 4 safety ratings to ensure maximum power and safety for users.
Since the launch of the H-SERIES in 2022, Doosan Robotics has attracted major global customers such as Schiphol Airport and Wacker Korea, significantly increasing its global market share by 72%. Doosan Robotics stated, “We have successfully dominated the high-payload collaborative robot market in the 20kg range and above, which includes advanced palletizing solutions.” They added, “This year, with the introduction of the P-SERIES, the collaborative robot featuring the highest payload and reach yet, expectations are set to soar beyond previous achievements.”
Additionally, at Automate 2024, Doosan Robotics will showcase various collaborative robot solutions for industries including food and beverage (F&B) and manufacturing, utilizing their proprietary software platform Dart-Suite. William Ryu, CEO of Doosan Robotics, stated, “With the release of the P-SERIES later this year, we aim to expand our collaborative robot lineup and further increase our revenue in the global collaborative robot market.”
