Nexon, South Korean game giant’s ‘Dungeon & Fighter Mobile’ topped the revenue and popularity rankings on major app markets in China on its first day of release.
According to app market research firm Sensor Tower on May. 22, Nexon’s ‘Dungeon & Fighter Mobile’, released in the Chinese market through Tencent Games the previous day, ranked first in both revenue and free game app download rankings on the Chinese Apple App Store.
Dungeon & Fighter Mobile outperformed popular MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) games in China, such as ‘Honor of Kings’ and the Chinese version of ‘PUBG Mobile’, ‘Game for Peace’, The game also ranked first in popularity on the same day on the Tencent App Store, a major Android app market in China.
Dungeon & Fighter Mobile is a new mobile game based on ‘Dungeon & Fighter’, which entered the Chinese market in 2008 and has accumulated 850 million users worldwide.
Dungeon & Fighter Mobile was released in S. Korea in 2022 and won the President’s Award at the Korea Game Awards later that year. In Feb. 2024, it obtained a license to operate in China, leading to its launch in the Chinese market.
