Nongshim said on April 28 it has opened its first “Shin Ramyun Bunsik” — a Korean-style noodle bar — near Machu Picchu in Peru, aiming to boost brand recognition and expand exports.
The outlet, which opened on April 21 in Aguas Calientes, the main gateway to Machu Picchu, lets tourists buy Nongshim products such as Shin Ramyun and Neoguri and cook them on site using instant noodle machines. Local staff are on hand to assist visitors.
The snack bar also features an exhibit showcasing the history of Shin Ramyun and other key Nongshim brands.

Nongshim plans to open more Shin Ramyun Bunsik outlets at major tourist sites across Asia and other regions later this year, as it looks to increase overseas sales from 40% of total revenue in 2024 to 50% in 2025.
The company hopes the new location — near a UNESCO World Heritage site that draws more than 1.5 million visitors annually — will mirror the success of its “Jungfrau Shin Ramyun” experience in Switzerland.
