Yongin Everland Speedway -- it's the place all the racing enthusiasts go. The first round of the BAT GT Championship Series opened on Sunday. The opening event of the Korean motor sports season, no less than 10,000 spectators showed up, making it a huge success.
The Indigo Team took first and second place in GT1 class and first place in the Formula 1800 class.
Meanwhile, entertainer-race car driver Lee Se-chang entered the Touring A division and placed third. Fellow entertainer and fellow R-Stars racing teammate Ahn Jae-mo placed 14th in the "high car" (non-remodeled cars with engine capacity under 1,500cc) class in his first ever race.
The thunder of the racetrack, the thrilling victories of the racers... and then there are the racing queens. The "Flowers of Racing" -- sometimes they cheer, sometimes they frown. On Sunday, we were able to see the racing girls for the first time this year, and fill up our camera lenses they did.
