Actress Moon So-ri and director Jang Joon-hwan will be taking their vows at a Christmas eve ceremony. They will hold the ceremony at an undisclosed location in Gyeonggi Province.
The two are both alums of Sungkyunkwan University. Fate brought them together for a music video in 2003 that Jang was directing and Moon starred in.
The two kept their wedding plans secret even from close acquaintances. It is understood that the ceremony will be a quiet one, with just 20-30 family members in attendance.
Debuting in 1999 in "Peppermint Candy," Moon appeared in several films inclusing "Oasis" and "A Good Lawyer's Wife" and picked up the Best Actress award from the Stockholm International Film Festival and the Grand Bell Film Awards.
For "Oasis" she also won the Marcello Mastroianni Award as best newcomer at the 2002 Venice Film Festival.
Jang was praised for his fresh ideas and sound filmmaking skills, picking up top new director awards at the Moscow International Film Festival and the Blue Dragon Film Awards.
