It has been over a year since actress Kim Jung-eun started her own music talk show, "Kim Jung-eun's Chocolate," on SBS, and she has just recorded the 59th episode. With viewers' ratings in the 5 percent range, the program has proved its potential to go the distance.
"It's not only about the running of the show on stage, I also pay attention to fashion with my stylist all the time," Kim says. "It's quite awkward, but I try on as many dresses that I wouldn't normally wear. The main reason is that I believe as a host of the program, I should add to the overall visual aspect of the program."
In addition to her main job in acting, Kim has been involved in a number of other things. "I became a goodwill ambassador for handball to promote the sport in Korea. Of course, it all started when I appeared in the film 'Forever the Moment.' Also, I am keenly interested in the adoption issue," she says. That was no coincidence: she has been the goodwill ambassador of the Social Welfare Society for nine years, with actor Lee Jeong-gil as head of the sponsors. "I think the most touching thing that a human being can do is adoption. People say adopting a child is like bearing a child with your heart," Kim says.
Kim is to return to the big screen later this year with a new film. However, she does not want to give up on hosting her show. "It's all about people. I'm always happy because I have people who made it possible for me to do this show and have helped me get where I am now. I want to do this job for a long time, whether it be acting or something else," she says.
