Chinese diving champion Guo Jingjing is not taking part in the Guangzhou Asian Games after a video clip featuring her naked was released again on the Internet last month. Her name was not included on the entry list of divers submitted by the Chinese national team.
According to Chinese media, the 29-year-old gave up on the games because she wants to focus on studying at Renmin University and prepare for the London Olympic Games in 2012. But there is speculation that the video was the real reason.
The clip was apparently filmed during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and Chinese authorities suspect it was covertly shot by an insider in the national team.
With her good looks and four gold medals from the last Olympics, Guo is already the world's most popular diving star and appears in several commercials. She is engaged to Huo Qigang, the scion of a wealthy Hong Kong family.
