Park Ji-sung of Queens Park Rangers might be rejoining his old club PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands, according to a Dutch weekly.

Voetbal International reported on Sunday that Park, whose contract with English Championship side QPR ends in June 2014, was undergoing a medical test for the club. If PSV takes him back, Park is expected to sign a one-year contract on a loan basis. The former Korea international captain said earlier that he plans to retire in one or two years.

PSV has won the Eredivisie 21 times. Park joined in January 2003 after his strong performance at the 2002 World Cup, where Korea advanced to the semifinals for the first time ever, led Korea manager Guss Hiddink to take the player with him.

Park performed poorly at first but scored prolifically in the 2004-2005 season to emerge as one of the team’s top players. His achievements eventually caught the attention of Manchester United manager Alex Fergurson, and Park joined the prestigious English outfit in 2005.

PSV is currently being coached by Phillip Cocu, Park's former teammate. It finished second in the Eredivisie last season, making it automatically eligible for this season's Champions League. The top-flight Dutch league kicks off its new season on Friday.
