The Chicago Cubs have not extended Lim Chang-yong's contract, leaving the pitcher as a free agent, the Major League Baseball club said on Tuesday.
Lim signed with the Cubs last year and appeared in six games last season. He gave up six hits and seven walks over five innings and posted a 5.40 ERA.
He will now have to sign a minor league contract with the Cubs or look for another club.
