Actress Uhm Ji-won has revealed that her relationship with her significant other ended some time ago.
Uhm married architect Oh Young-wook in 2014 after two years of dating, though the marriage was never registered.
She said in a post on her YouTube channel on Tuesday, "I feel a lot closer to [my fans] after sharing my everyday life through my channel. I saw some comments asking about my spouse, but I was unable to answer those questions for a long time."
She added, "We reached the conclusion that we are better off as friends. We are grateful for each other and had some great times together, but decided to end our relationship as husband and wife."
The post continues, "We are still on good terms, keeping in touch, but have been living separately for some time. He's currently living in Vietnam and I am here in Seoul. I mustered the courage to reveal this because I want to continue to communicate and share part of my life through my channel. I decided I can't be silent forever."
The couple have no children and exactly when they broke up is unclear.
