Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur scored his 11th goal of the season in the English Premier League on Monday.

In a home match against Everton with his team leading 1-0, Son scored in the 17th minute, contributing to the team's 5-0 victory.

He has scored 12 goals so far this season -- 11 in the EPL and one in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

After his goal, Harry Kane scored twice and Sergio Reguilón once.

Son celebrated the goal by putting his index finger to his mouth, a gesture toward Everton fans who booed him throughout the game.

Son has a troubled history with Everton. During a league game in November 2019, he injured André Gomes of Everton while trying to tackle him. Gomes suffered a fracture and dislocation in his ankle, requiring him to undergo surgery. Though Son has apologized, Everton fans boo him every time he touches the ball in their home stadium.

Monday's goal was his first against Everton in about three years and three months, since a multiple-goal outing in December 2018.

He expressed his satisfaction on Instagram. "Good start to a big week!!" he wrote.
