Actress Jin Ki-joo is set to usher in the new year with her new TV drama series slated to start airing next week.
"Run Into You," whose 16 episodes have already been shot, deals with a fantasy story in which the characters travel back in time.
Jin said she was fully immersed in the story as she read its script in one sitting when she was offered a role in the series early this year.
"As soon as I finished reading it, I was just eager to do it," she recalled.
Asked what kind of projects she is interested in, she said, "I tend to be spontaneous. Sometimes I'm moved by just a single line of dialogue. If I feel comfortable when I improvise a given role, then I go for it."
"I have been motivated to pursue my acting career because I found [certain projects] fun and they were something that I wanted to do best," she added. "But now it's time for me to build up my acting skills further. Maybe another project will come along and rekindle my passion."
The first episode of the series is set to start airing on KBS on Jan. 4.
