V of boy band Bangtan Boys, also known as BTS, garnered more than 60 million followers on Instagram as of Thursday.
The feat comes about two years and six months after he opened his individual account along with his bandmates in December 2021.
The response was explosive, as V amassed over 1 million followers in less than one hour, and 10 million in about five hours, setting two Guinness World Records for the fastest time to reach the milestones. Since then, he has continued to increase his following.
He has the most followers among Korean boy bands, and is also the most-followed BTS member.
Meanwhile, BTS will release a book next month in celebration of the 10th anniversary of their debut.
