Seo Min-kyu

Figure skater Seo Min-kyu finished on top of the podium at the International Skating Union-sanctioned Junior Grand Prix series in Istanbul, Turkey last Saturday.

In the third event of the series, which comprises seven events followed by the final in December, the teen skater came first with 155.63 points in the men's singles free skate after finishing second in the short program with 75.67 points earlier in the week.

With a combined score of 231.30 points, he took gold.

Seo became the third Korean figure skater to win the series after Lee June-hyoung in 2014 and Cha Jun-hwan in 2016.

In the women's singles, which wrapped up the previous day, Kim Yu-jae won bronze with a combined score of 183.65 points.
