K-pop stars such as Le Sserafim and ATEEZ will take the stage at Coachella, the largest music festival in the United States.
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which will take place in the desert region of Indio, California, in April, has been held since 1999 and boasts a tradition and authority as the world’s largest music festival. Attracting over 200,000 audiences annually, it is renowned as the “dream stage” for many musicians.
Last year, Blackpink made history as the first K-pop artist to headline Coachella. In 2019, Blackpink became the first Korean girl group to perform on the Coachella stage, returning as a headliner after a four-year hiatus and becoming the most streamed performance at Coachella last year.
This year, K-pop idols will once again grace the Coachella stage. The lineup for the upcoming music festival unveiled on Jan. 16, includes notable names such as Le Sserafim and ATEEZ, as well as the band The Rose and DJ Peggy Gou.
Le Sserafim, who released their first English digital single, “Perfect Night,” last year, continues their long-running popularity by achieving success on platforms like Billboard and Spotify. They are set to showcase their global presence with solo performances on April 13 and 20 at Coachella.
ATEEZ will perform on April 12 and 19, becoming the first K-pop boy group to take the stage at Coachella. Earlier, the group topped the U.S. Billboard 200 chart shortly after the release of its second full-length album, proving its global popularity by staying on the chart for five consecutive weeks. Expectations are high for their compelling performance at the Coachella stage.
Peggy Gou, a South Korean DJ actively performing worldwide, and The Rose, a band demonstrating success on global charts, will also appear at Coachella.
