Teddy’s new girl group sparks interest with their rumored backgrounds.

The new girl group from Teddy’s K-pop agency The Black Label is already causing a stir with a recently unveiled photo of the members. While the identities of the members or their official debut date have not been confirmed, they are drawing excess attention and speculation.

The leaked photo of seven girls, who are believed to be members of Teddy’s highly-anticipated new girl group, surfaced online on Feb. 5. With the title “Girl Group by Teddy,” netizens took to social media to express their excitement over Teddy’s new project.

The disclosed photo captures 7 trainees posing for a photo in what appears to be a training room. Gathered together for a pose as if they had just finished practicing, the group already looks like a team.

What makes these supposed trainees of the subordinate company of YG Entertainment receive much attention from fans are familiar faces who had made a spark in the industry. Among this group of trainees is Ella Gross, the kid model and actress famously known for her resemblance to Jennie of Blackpink.

Ella, who signed an exclusive contract with the label in 2018, is noteworthy considering her potential as a model, as well as her talents in singing, dancing, acting, and playing instruments. Producer Teddy, at the time of her signing, said, “She has a unique voice to be a singer.”

Along with Ella Gross, fans were ecstatic to discover Moon, known as the granddaughter of the Korean chaebol retail company, Shinsegae Group. All seven girls featured in the picture have their faces covered with caps, making it difficult to identify them, but speculation runs wild that she is the trainee for an upcoming girl group.

The Black Label, spearheaded by renowned producer Teddy, garnered a lot of attention and expectations when a search for new girl group members were announced in 2022. The executive producer Teddy has been instrumental in crafting hits for iconic YG artists like Blackpink, BigBang, 2NE1, and Jeon So-mi.
