IU is taking center stage after a long-awaited return.

IU’s sixth EP “The Winning” on Feb. 20 landed top positions in various music streaming platforms including Melon, the biggest streaming service in Korea. Singer’s pre-released song “Love wins all” has been securing No.1 on the chart, solidifying her name in the music scene.

In the midst of this, IU’s surprise collaboration with Patty Kim, a veteran Korean singer, in one of her double-track titles “Shh..” is making headlines. At the end of the song, Kim narrates “There’s an old story. Everyone knows, but also doesn’t know. That name is shh” in her characteristic husky voice.

Patty Kim is a self-proclaimed legendary diva who has set numerous records - the first Korean singer to debut in Japan and perform at Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House. She left the stage in 2013 but is still recognized as a diva of an era.

Her participation as a narrator was enough to surprise everyone; she has not been active in the music industry since her retirement, except for her appearance in “Immortal Songs” in 2022.

As such, IU’s mini album continues to garner attention with its scale and impressive lineup equivalent to the regular album. The music video for the main track “Love wins all” star BTS’ V, while Tang Wei appeared in the MV of “Shh..”' featured by Joe Won-sun and Hyein of NewJeans. IU’s perfect album has fans cheering enthusiastically.

The soloist will hold solo concerts at KSPO DOME in Songpa, Seoul on March 2 and 3, and March 9 and 10 to meet her fans. Performing at a 15,000-capacity venue for four days, IU will prove her ticket-selling power, mobilizing 60,000 people.
