The South Korean movie ‘Exhuma,’ an occult mystery film, is making waves internationally with its box office success.

The film has received invitations to international film festivals. The occult mystery film revolves around the strange occurrences faced by a geomancer, a mortician, and shamans who were paid a large sum of money to relocate a suspicious tomb.

The movie Exhuma has been released in Mongolia on Feb. 23, Indonesia on Feb. 28, and Taiwan on Mar. 8. It is set to be released in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei on Mar. 14.

Moreover, the movie is all set to launch in North America, the UK, and Ireland, Vietnam on Mar. 15, the Philippines on Mar. 20, and Thailand on Mar. 21. Hong Kong, Macao, and Cambodia will release it in April.

MockingBird, the Vietnamese distributor, expressed their excitement to bring one of the most outstanding Korean films this year to Vietnamese cinemas.

Showbox, the primary distributor of the film, experienced a surge of interest in the movie after it was showcased at the Berlin International Film Festival. The company received several invitations from film festivals and inquiries for rights purchases. In Indonesia, Exhuman became the highest-grossing Korean film released, causing a sensation.

The representatives of Showbox have revealed that they are expecting upcoming releases in Asia, North America, and Australia to raise expectations for the film’s global success. The film has also been receiving a flurry of invitations from international film festivals. Exhuman has been officially invited to compete at the 26th Udine Far East Film Festival, which runs from Apr. 24 to May 2, which proves its global interest.

The Udine Far East Film Festival, Europe’s largest film festival introducing unique Asian films to the world, has previously invited films with both artistic value and box office success such as ‘The Night Owl’, ‘The Man Standing Next’, ‘The Outlaws’, and ‘Confidential Assignment’.
