Boy band BTS member V was recently spotted in the Special Duty Team (SDT) combat uniform of South Korea’s military police while serving on active duty.

Several photos titled “BTS V wearing combat uniform today” were shared in an online community on April 17.

Captured from a video, V is seen wearing a black combat uniform adorned with a military police patch, actively participating in urban combat shooting training.

V enlisted in the military in December last year and successfully applied to and joined the SDT under the Army Capital Defense Command.

In February, he was assigned to the 2nd Corps, also known as the Ssangyong Unit, in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, where he serves in the special duty unit of the military police directly under the command.

The military police are tasked with maintaining order within the army, enforcing discipline, and managing traffic. The SDT, where V serves, is responsible for initial responses to anti-terrorism incidents and the protection of key military personnel (VIPs).
