South Korean film director Yeon Sang-ho, known for his work on ‘Train to Busan,’ is set to collaborate with Leonardo DiCaprio in Hollywood.

According to a report by Deadline on Jun. 5, Yeon will produce ‘35th Street’ for TriStar Pictures alongside writer Ryu Yong-jae, his collaborator on the Netflix series ‘Parasyte: The Grey.’

‘35th Street’ will be co-produced by Appian Way Productions, DiCaprio’s production company, and Wow Point, Korea’s global content production company behind ‘The Bequeathed’ and ‘Parasyte: The Grey.’

This project marks Yeon’s first English-language film, described as an action-horror genre film. Specific plot details and casting information have yet to be disclosed. Production is expected to begin as early as the second half of next year.

International media have noted the success of Yeon’s previous works, including ‘Hellbound’ and ‘Parasyte: The Grey,’ with the latter being the top-ranked series on Netflix globally. Analysts suggest that ‘35th Street’ could pave the way for further collaborations between Yeon and Hollywood studios.
