“Project Silence,” one of the final works of late actor Lee Sun-kyun, is set to be released on July. 12. CJ ENM confirmed the release date on June. 13. and unveiled the main poster and trailer.

This disaster thriller tells the story of people trapped in a chain-reaction car crash on a foggy airport bridge, struggling to survive against out-of-control military experimental dogs that have been released on the collapsing bridge. Lee Sun-kyun plays Jung Won, a security office administrator trapped on the airport bridge. Ju Ji-hoon plays Joe Park, a tow truck driver looking for a big break, and Kim Hee-won portrays Dr. Yang, a researcher involved in the experimental dog project. The cast also includes Moon Sung-geun, Ye Soo-jung, Kim Tae-woo, Park Hee-Von, Park Ju-hyun, and Kim Soo-ahn.

With the release of “Project Silence” confirmed, audiences will be able to see two of Lee Sun-gyun’s films back-to-back this summer. Another movie starring Lee, “The Land of Happiness,” is set to hit theaters in August, although the exact release date has not yet been determined.

“The Land of Happiness” focuses on the aftermath of the October 26, 1979 incident. It tells the story of Park Tae-joo, who stands trial for assassinating the president, and his lawyer Jung In-hoo. Lee Sun-kyun plays Park Tae-joo, while Cho Jung-seok portrays Jung In-hoo. Additionally, Yoo Jae-myung plays Jeon Sang-doo, one of the key figures in the case.

Both “Project Silence” and “The Land of Happiness” were indefinitely postponed late last year when Lee Sun-kyun came under police investigation for alleged drug use. Lee passed away on Dec. 27. while still under investigation.
