Blackpink’s Lisa released her highly anticipated new solo single “Rockstar” on June 28.

The single showcases Lisa’s signature rap and energetic vocal skills. The song was produced by Ryan Tedder and Sam Homaee, members of the American pop-rock band OneRepublic.

The music video, shot in Lisa’s native Thailand, features the bustling streets of Bangkok. Lisa is seen taking over the city with her colorful choreography.

“Rockstar” is the first solo single released under the new partnership between RCA Records and LLOUD Co., the management company Lisa founded earlier this year. Lisa first teased the single on TikTok when she joined the social media earlier this month. She gained a million followers in just over two hours, setting a Guinness World Record.

Lisa previously made her solo debut with her single album “Lalisa,” which was released via YG Entertainment and Interscope Records. The title track “Money” became the first solo K-pop hit to surpass a billion streams on Spotify in 2023.
