The girl group KARA is releasing a track that includes all six members, featuring the voice of the late Goo Ha-ra.
According to RBW and DSP Media, KARA will pre-release the track “Hello” from their digital single “I Do I Do” on music platforms at 6 PM on Jul. 16.
“Hello” is a ballad centered on greetings that signify both meeting and parting. The song captures the joy of reunion and the sorrow of farewell, reflecting the various meanings behind the word through the members’ voices.
Originally intended for KARA’s fourth full album “Full Bloom,” released in Sept. 2013, this unreleased track includes Goo Ha-ra’s voice recorded in Korean before her passing.
Also, a Japanese version of the song was released as part of Goo Ha-ra’s Japanese single “Midnight Queen” in Nov. 2019.
KARA debuted in 2007 alongside groups like Girls’ Generation and Wonder Girls, actively performing in the late 2000s. The group debuted as a four-member group with Park Gyu-ri, Han Seung-yeon, Kim Sung-hee, and Nicole, but became a five-member group the following year when Kim Sung-hee left and Goo Ha-ra and Kang Ji-young joined. In 2014, Nicole and Kang left the group, and Heo Young-ji joined that same year. To commemorate their 15th anniversary in 2022, Nicole and Kang Ji-young rejoined, making KARA a five-member group once again.
Following the pre-release of “Hello” on this day, KARA will release their digital single “I Do I Do” on Jul. 24.
