Seventeen, one of South Korea’s most celebrated K-pop groups, is making history as the first act from the genre to perform on Disney’s annual holiday special in the United States. /HYBE

South Korea’s internationally acclaimed idol group, Seventeen (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino), is set to become the first K-pop act to appear on the Disney holiday special in the United States.

According to ABC on Nov. 20 (local time), Seventeen is set to perform a solo stage of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” for The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular. The show will air on Dec. 1.

Now in its ninth year, The Wonderful World of Disney is an annual holiday program featuring celebrated artists across genres. Past performers include Mariah Carey, Michael Bolton, David Foster, Andrea Bocelli, Kelly Clarkson, and Idina Menzel.

This year, Seventeen joins a lineup of legendary artists such as Elton John, John Legend, and Pentatonix, highlighting the group’s growing prominence in North America. The special will be hosted by Dancing with the Stars co-hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro.

Earlier this year, Seventeen successfully completed the North American leg of their SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR, with 10 shows across five cities. The tour finale in Los Angeles featured “Seventeen the City,” an immersive project combining the group’s concert content and IP with local infrastructure, creating a citywide celebration.

Following their U.S. appearances, Seventeen will release their fourth Japanese single, Shohikigen, on Nov. 27 and embark on a dome tour in Japan. The tour begins with two shows at Vantelin Dome Nagoya on Nov. 29-30, followed by performances at Tokyo Dome on Dec. 4-5, Kyocera Dome Osaka on Dec. 12 and 14-15, and concludes at Fukuoka PayPay Dome on Dec. 19 and 21-22.
