Netflix is set to introduce a more diverse lineup of Korean content this year, offering a mix of drama, reality, and film. At the Next on Netflix 2025 Korea event on Feb. 4, Kang Dong-han, vice president of Korean content at Netflix, said, “With over 700 million viewers worldwide and streaming deeply embedded in daily life in Korea, diversity is essential.”
The series lineup introduces fresh narratives, including “When Life Gives You Tangerines,” spanning 60 years of its characters’ lives, the historical romance “Dear Hongrang,” and “You and Everything Else,” a story about two women’s friendship. Also coming are “Squid Game” Season 3, romantic comedies by Kim Eun-sook and the Hong sisters, as well as noir, thriller, and supernatural series.
On the reality front, “Physical: 100″ transforms into a regional competition with “Physical: Asia,” where top athletes from across the continent participate, including boxing legend Manny Pacquiao. Other key shows include “Culinary Class Wars” Season 2 and “Crime Scene Zero.”
Netflix is also releasing seven films, including “Revelations,” directed by Yeon Sang-ho with involvement from Oscar-winning filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón, the noise complaint thriller “Wall to Wall,” and its first Korean animated film, “Lost in Starlight.”
