Netflix’s Korean original series “Squid Game” season 2 won Best Foreign Language Series at this year’s Critics Choice Awards in the United States.

According to the Critics Choice Association (CCA) on Feb. 9, “Squid Game” was honored in the category at the awards ceremony held in Los Angeles on Feb. 7. Other nominees included Amazon Prime Video’s “Citadel: Honey Bunny,” Apple TV+’s “Pachinko,” HBO’s “My Brilliant Friend,” Hulu’s “La Máquina,” Netflix’s “The Law According to Lidia Poët,” and the Brazilian miniseries “Senna.”

Organized by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA), the Critics Choice Awards are among the most prestigious honors in the U.S. film and television industry.

“Squid Game” previously claimed the same award in 2022 for its first season, when lead actor Lee Jung-jae also won Best Actor in a Drama Series.
