HYBE, the K-pop powerhouse behind BTS and SEVENTEEN, is teaming up with Grammy-award-winning producer Ryan Tedder to launch a new boy group in the United States.

HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, Tedder, and HYBE America CEO Scooter Braun recently formed a partnership to put together a U.S.-based boy group, the company announced on Feb. 21.

HYBE has launched an official audition website to kick off the project and is now accepting applications. According to the website, applicants must be between the ages of 13 and 23.

Tedder, a four-time Grammy Award winner and OneRepublic frontman, has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Beyoncé, Adele, and Ed Sheeran. He has also worked with HYBE artists, including Tomorrow X Together (Back for More), &Team (Dropkick), and Katseye (Debut).

Hybe debuted Katseye, its first U.S.-based girl group, in collaboration with Geffen Records.

“With Katseye, we have proven that the K-pop methodology can succeed in the mainstream U.S. market,” Chairman Bang said. “Partnering with Ryan Tedder to launch this new boy group marks the next step in continuing our legacy in the music industry.”
