The victims of brutal rape at a school for the hearing-impaired in Gwangju, made famous by the recent movie "The Crucible," were taken on a field trip to Seoul at the end of last year with the support of several charity groups, teachers and individuals.

The children who were molested years ago, often in horrific ways, at Gwangju Inhwa School visited various tourist attractions including the N Seoul Tower and Lotte World from Dec. 17-18, Samgeori Pictures, the producer of the film, revealed on Thursday.

Actors Gong Yoo and Jung Yu-mi, who starred in "The Crucible," took food and gifts to the children at their hotel and spent some time with them.

The film's producer said, "We kept their itineraries tightly under wraps so the children could enjoy a fun trip without any media attention."
