A search for six workers who were missing in the collapse of an apartment complex under construction in Gwangju was completed on Tuesday, nearly a month after the accident on Jan. 11.
Authorities said the last missing person was found dead on the 26th floor of the devastated building last week and it took seven days to retrieve the body.
Some 5,900 rescue workers and 141 sniffer dogs were mobilized to search for the missing workers.
The wall of the Hyundai I-Park complex in Gwangju collapsed in the disaster and the six workers who had been working on site were buried under piles of rubble on the ground or between the floors.
