Former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon hinted at his return to politics. “I’ve been writing a book,” he wrote on Facebook on Feb. 16. “I will see you all soon.” His statement comes two months after stepping down as party leader on Dec. 16.
“Over the past two months, I have spent time listening to many people and reflecting,” he added.
Han had remained out of the public eye for two months after resigning as party leader amid criticism over his role in passing an impeachment motion against President Yoon Suk-yeol.
However, in recent weeks, both before and after the Lunar New Year holiday, he has met with key political figures, including former People Power Party Emergency Response Committee Chairman Kim Jong-in and Cho Gab-je, former journalist and current CEO of chogabje.com.
