Musinsa Standard unveiled the official opening and closing ceremony uniforms for the South Korean national team on July 9, ahead of the 33rd Summer Olympics in Paris. Musinsa Standard is a casual wear private brand developed by the Korean fashion platform Musinsa.

The uniforms for this event are a pale blue color. Musinsa Standard explained, “We chose a calm shade of blue, representing the East, symbolizing the vigor and enterprising spirit of youth. We hope the Korean team will shine brightly among the athletes from various nations.”

The tops and bottoms are made from summer wool fabric, considering the hot weather in Paris during the Olympics. The blazer lining features a design inspired by Korea’s blue and white porcelain, highlighting traditional Korean beauty. Additionally, a stylish belt was specially created, reinterpreting the traditional Korean court dress belt.

Other components of the uniform include a T-shirt made from a cooling, moisture-wicking fabric, and white sneakers designed like running shoes. The athletes will also receive silver pendant necklaces with a Taeguk pattern as accessories. The “Team Korea” logo is engraved on the inside of the blazer collar, the T-shirts, the slacks, and the insoles of the sneakers.
