☞ 누군가가 당신에게 나쁜 일을 저지른(do something bad to you) 경우, 복수를 하려는(try to get revenge) 것은 일을 더 악화할 뿐이라는(only make things worse) 뜻입니다. 악을 악으로 갚아 봐야(revenge wrong with wrong) 복수만 반복된다는 의미지요.
It means that if someone does something bad to you, trying to get revenge only makes things worse. It implies repaying evil with evil only perpetuates a cycle of vengeance.
